An Alfa Romeo Owners Club geometry setting event took place at Protyre Warwick on 11 December. Dave McFarland brought his well modified 2000MY GTV V6 to be set up. The
following is an extract from an email sent through after driving the car home.
'I really appreciate the time you spent with me on Friday. The car is Fantastic I had a great drive home, drove much too fast...! Car feels more `alive` if that makes sense, ready for
directional changes without being nervous, the steering feels more connected and inspires confidence, hence driving too fast. Must slow down.
I also noticed that it tracks very straight and true....with no `Alfa Walk' as they say about the straight ahead, I can take my hands of the wheel and it will go dead straight for long way
before it would be wise to hold the wheel again.'
Additional Alfa Romeo Owners Club events are taking place at Warwick Protyre on 30 January and 5 February. Please email for details.
Alfa Romeo Owners Club
Peter Cambridge gave a talk to the Central and East Midlands section of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club about the Brera S he was responsible for engineering while working at Prodrive. The talk took
place at the George & Dragon at Thringstone, a very hospitable establishment.
The evening was well attended by over 30 club members who enjoyed hearing how the limited edition was developed and the great working relationship that existed between the engineers at Alfa Romeo
in Italy and Prodrive in the UK - 'Best of Italy. Best of Britain.'
