Alfa Romeo Brera S 11th Anniversary Event - 13 July 2019
A great day in the Warwickshire countryside for 9 Brera S owners.
We met at 10.00 at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon where Peter Cambridge gave a presentation on the Prodrive Brera S project and followed with a discussion about the ride and handling compromise and what makes an Alfa so special. Beautiful to look at and fun to drive!
A convoy of Breras then made its way to Walton Hall near Wellesbourne. This was the location used by Alfa Romeo for the lauch of the Brera S back in 2008. A great opportunity for photographs. The only thing missing was the union jack car cover created in the traditional colours of the the nation flag of Italy! A feature of the 'best of Italy, best of britain' marketing campaign.
The convoy then made its way to the ex-Prodrive test track at Fen End via one of the official press routes from the launch. 9 beautiful Breras all travelling together certainly drew some attention from the other motorists!
We gathered in the car park of the Honiley Court Hotel and then finished our day by driving around the Prodrive road assessment route used to develop the Brera S, and many other project vehicles.
